Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well mixed.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter and milk. Stir until smooth.
  • Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Add in the blueberries and lemon juice, gently folding them into the batter. Be careful not to break the blueberries.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • If using, sprinkle cinnamon on top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the bars are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow them to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
