Ingredients
  

  • 4 ears fresh corn on the cob
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh herbs (optional) for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Husk the corn and rinse under cool water, then pat dry.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, salt, black pepper, and half of the shredded cheese. Mix thoroughly.
  • Spread the buttery mixture evenly over each ear of corn.
  • Place the corn in a baking dish, either standing upright or laying down.
  • Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the corn.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbling and golden.
  • Allow to cool slightly and garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve warm.

Use fresh corn for the best flavor. Experiment with different cheeses and toppings to suit your taste.
