Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe bananas
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  • Stir in the melted butter until fully incorporated.
  • Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, being careful not to overmix.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Slice and enjoy your Chocolate Chip Banana Bread warm, or store it for future enjoyment!

Notes

Use ripe bananas for maximum sweetness. For a moist bread, do not overmix the batter. Allow the bread to cool fully before slicing to make cutting easier.
