  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a standard muffin tin with paper liners or spray it with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  • Stir in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil into the mashed bananas. Then, add the eggs and vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Divide the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the muffins cool in the tin for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor. Don't overmix the batter to maintain fluffiness. These muffins freeze well for future snacks.
