  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease the cups directly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well blended.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the yogurt, egg, vegetable oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently with a spatula until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about ¾ full.
  • Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients. Don’t skimp on chocolate chips! Sprinkle sea salt on top for added flavor. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for longer. Enjoy!
