Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • ½ cup extra chocolate for filling (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, mix the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and light.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop the cookie dough into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about ⅔ full and adding extra chocolate in the center if desired.
  • Bake for about 10–12 minutes until the edges are set and the center remains soft.
  • Allow the cookies to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before removing and cooling on a wire rack.

Notes

For a richer chocolate center, combine semi-sweet and dark chocolate chips. Use kitchen scales for accuracy in measurements. Prepare the dough ahead of time and refrigerate it overnight for convenience. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
