  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups plant-based milk (almond, soy, oat, etc.)
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil or melted coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the plant-based milk, oil, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir gently until combined.
  • Preheat your waffle iron and brush with oil to prevent sticking.
  • Scoop the batter onto the waffle iron and cook until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove waffles and place on a wire rack. Repeat until all batter is cooked.
  • Serve immediately with your choice of toppings.

Notes

For crispier waffles, add more oil to the batter. You can prepare the batter in advance and store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Customize your toppings according to the season or your preferences.
