  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract and orange zest.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually add this to the wet mixture until combined.
  • Roll dough into tablespoon-sized balls and coat in powdered sugar.
  • Place dough balls 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.

Notes
