Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 ½ cups Oreo cookies (crushed)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  • Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well until smooth.
  • Slowly add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients and blend until just combined.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and fold it into your cookie dough.
  • Drop even amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden and the center is soft.
  • Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing. For softer cookies, underbake by a minute. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days.
