Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 8 oz rice noodles (or any preferred noodles)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
  • Add the thinly sliced chicken breast. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add sesame oil. Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the soy sauce and brown sugar to the garlic, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet with the garlic sauce, coating them well.
  • Add the cooked chicken back to the pan and toss everything together until heated through.
  • Finally, stir in the chopped green onions, and serve immediately.

Notes

Do not overcook the chicken. Make sure your noodles are cooked al dente. Prep all ingredients before starting to streamline the cooking process. Taste the sauce before mixing it with the noodles. For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in soy sauce and garlic for an hour before cooking. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds.
