Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the softened cream cheese until well combined.
  • Add the vanilla extract and stir until evenly mixed.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
  • Scoop balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for the best results. Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
